EMDR Therapy

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an evidence-based treatment that is highly effective in processing trauma. It can also be incredibly helpful for enhancing your performance and moving you out of creative blocks.

This treatment helps identify and address experiences that have overwhelmed your brain’s natural resilience or coping capacity. Through EMDR therapy, clients focus on present concerns which have become emotionally charged due to past experiences.

I am consistently impressed by the capacity of this approach to make progress when talk therapy stalls. I have had proven success using EMDR with my clients to relieve symptoms of painful memories moving them from states of “fight-flight-freeze” to foundations for feelings of joy, peace and a sense of well-being. EMDR can help people heal from traumatic events like:

  • Addictions
  • Car Accidents
  • Complicated grief
  • Disturbing memories
  • Panic attacks
  • Performance anxiety
  • Phobias
  • Sexual and/or Physical abuse
  • Stress reduction

EMDR is a powerful psycho-therapeutic approach that helps lessen, even eliminate, the painful mental and physical responses raised by the memory of traumatic events and seeks to create new healthier patterns in your brain. After going through EMDR my clients have been able to shift intense negative beliefs about themselves to an increasing capacity to love and live in freedom. I look forward to speaking with you about EMDR and its benefits.
